The Fourth of July is just around the corner and you know what that means… fireworks, sparklers, and dazzling nails to match!
I sat down with a fellow intern to create some holiday inspired nails using our Motives Nail Candy. Playing with nail polish at work at 9 am? Of course we got right down to business!

Oh Marilyn // Twilight // Ice // I’m Not Really An Angel
Look 1: Highlight
This look was the easiest to accomplish. Kerri painted four nails blue and put red on her ring finger for a bright pop of color!

Look 2: Glitter
Make your nails shine like fireworks by painting a bold color with a sparkly top coat. Try this tip if you can’t decide which color to use: put Motives Nail Candy in Oh Marilyn and Motives Nail Candy in Ice on your fingers and Motives Nail Candy in Twilight and Motives Nail Candy in Ice on your toes!

Look 3: Polka Dots
Polka dots are a cute, creative way to showcase your favorite nail colors. This touch of sass is perfect to paint on for a fun Fourth of July date. Kerri painted two coats of I’m Not Really An Angel and used the tip of a pencil dipped in polish to make dots on each nail.

Look 4: Stripes
Show your love for the stars and stripes by featuring them on your nails! For this look, I painted a coat of Ice on each nail. Once it dried, I placed tape over the top 2/3 of my nail. I used Motives Nail Candy in Twilight to paint near the base and allowed it to dry.

Once dried, I removed the tape and placed new strips of tape to cover the bottom 2/3 of my nail. This time, I used Motives Nail Candy in Oh Marilyn to paint near the tips of my nails. After everything was dry, I removed the tape to reveal the perfect patriotic stripes!
