Mascara is one of those things that can prove to be tricky, if you apply too much you could end up with clumpy lashes, and if you apply too little you may look washed out by the rest of your eye makeup. Here are seven fool proof steps for application; your eyelashes can look beautiful all day with these makeup tips. Stop struggling because this easy method works.
Seven Steps to Fabulous Lashes
1.) Choose mascara that fits your needs, for full lashes try Motives Lustrafy High-Definition Mascara, for longer lashes try Motives Lustrafy Mascara.
2.) Make sure your mascara is fresh; throw out old tubes after 2 or 3 months. It’s not safe and it has a tendency to dry out…and never add anything into the tube.
3.) Take the wand out carefully. Don’t pump the wand because it only adds extra oxygen to the product and dries it out. Don’t brush it on the side of the tube as this ruins your brush and adds mascara to your bottle opening.
4.) Take a little piece of wax paper and swipe the mascara wand across it to gently remove the excess material. This will help give your lashes a more defined look without the extra clumps.
5.) Place the wand at the base of your eyelashes and “wiggle” it upward and past the tips. The wiggling motion helps to keep the lashes separate while coating each one.
6.) Wait for the first coat to dry. With the new mascaras one coat is usually enough for daytime wear. For more emphasis apply another coat to get the look you desire.
7.) And finally, don’t forget to coat the tops of your lashes; it’s really easy to think you’ve gotten them when you have only gotten most of them. This will help your lashes look longer!
Always make sure to take your mascara off at night, if you don’t your lashes will be more likely to flake off when trying to apply your mascara the next day!

I’ve noticed the Motives for La La mascara increases BOTH the volume and length of my lashes. I’m very impressed.
Glad your loving it!
Are the key ingredients the only ingredients in the mascara? I have a lot of allergies and sensitivities. Usually, I only buy products that are listed as safe on http://www.cosmeticdatabase.com, but I can not find motives tested there. Are there any other ingredients not listed on the motives website? ‘Key ,’ seems to hint there are. I can’t risk a reaction. Thanks!
