Go Nude: A Classic Nail Trend

Wondering what color to paint your nails next? Wearable shades of beige or cream are among the most talked-about nail looks this season and I am delighted by this new trend!

I usually never paint my nails because I can’t seem to go an entire day without chipping one, but now that I went nude, my chips aren’t as noticeable and I don’t have to worry about my nail color clashing with my outfit for the day—phew!

Kate Beckinsale recently showed off the nude nail look during a promotional appearance for her new movie, Underworld: Awakening. As she shows, this look is best done on a shorter nail to pull off a sweet, romantic look. Once you go nude, you won’t want to stray away from this timeless color!

Nude nails too boring for you? Not to worry, you can still have different colors on your nails, but keep it classy—wear soft pastels, ruby reds, and chic corals. My favorites right now are Motives® Nail Candy in Glamber, Tickle Me Pink, and Bombshell. Delicate and empowering at the same time, these shades are bound to be your new best friend!

What nail colors are you into at the moment? Do you prefer bold, dramatic colors that make a statement or softer, more versatile colors like I discussed above?

  1. Same here, Colleen! My toes are the ones who express my colorful side! Glad I’m not the only one who can’t handle bold colors on my nails!

  2. Since I have 4 kids, I sport nude more than anything else. Motives Nail Candy is awesome because the polish doesn’t chip! I keep my favorite colors at home and at the nail salon.
