We all know how frustrating it can be when there’s lipstick on our teeth or we put on too much blush. Keep reading to learn the simple ways to correct these common beauty flubs.
Beauty Problem 1: Lipstick on Your Teeth
Solution: After applying your lipstick, blot your lips on a tissue. Put your forefinger in your mouth and slowly pull it out to remove any lipstick that may have made it to the inside of your lips. To take it a step further, you can put some petroleum jelly on your teeth to ensure lipstick stays on your lips – where it’s supposed to be!
Beauty Problem 2: Eye Shadow Fallout
Solution: To prevent eye shadow fallout, before putting on your eye shadow, first apply Motives Luminous Translucent Loose Powder below your eyes and on the top of your cheeks. Do not press in into your skin, instead keep the powder loose. If your eye shadow strays and falls beneath your eyes or onto your cheeks, you can sweep away the loose powder and presto! No more eye shadow fallout!
Beauty Problem 3: Clumpy Mascara
Solution: First, throw out your mascara – if it’s clumpy, it’s too old to use. Next, gently clamp your lashes, base to tip with a baby wipe to remove any excess. Then, put some petroleum jelly on your fingertips and lightly run them across your lashes to separate, define and darken them. No more Tammy Faye Baker lashes!
Beauty Problem 4: Too Much Blush
Solution: If you find yourself a little too rosy-cheeked, you can apply a translucent powder, like Motives Luminous Translucent Pressed Powder over the blush to mute some of the color. If you applied too much creme blush, carefully tone the color down by sponging on a tiny bit of liquid foundation over the rouge.
Beauty Problem 5: Uneven Faux Tan
Solution: It’s happened to the best of us – we applied a tan-from-the-bottle and it came out uneven or streaky. First, don’t panic. Next, grab a bronzing shimmer powder and stiple it where you need to even out the color. The finished result is a luminous, even tan!
